The question we're asked most often is: "How much will this cost?" We work on a transparent model: a minimum order per visit, guide prices per item, and an exact quote from a photo before the master even sets out. Here's what the price actually comes down to for furniture assembly in Tallinn and Harjumaa — not an averaged number from an ad.
Minimum order
One more small task in the same visit starts at €15. If you only have one small task — hanging a shelf, say, or assembling a bedside table — the minimum order, €80, is usually your final price, with no surprise add-ons. With more than one item, the second and later ones in the same visit cost less than separate visits — the table below, and the worked example further down, show exactly how much.
Price table per item
The guide prices below are the same figures as on the Prices page, not a rough guess — we deliberately keep prices in one place so no two pages on the site ever disagree. The exact amount depends on the model, access to the installation spot and the packaging's condition, but the range usually holds.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Dresser or cabinet | €80–150 |
| Bed | €100–220 |
| IKEA PAX wardrobe | €180–380 |
| Table | €80–150 |
| Desk | €100–180 |
| KALLAX shelving unit | €100–150 |
| Kitchen cabinets | €150–220 |
| Chair | €12–18 |
Price per item is a guide. The full price list for every service, not just furniture assembly, is on the Prices page.
What moves the final price
Four things move the number up or down, and we talk through them before the job starts, not after:
- Number of items. Several tasks in one visit work out cheaper per item than separate visits — a second small task in the same visit starts at €15, a whole list of jobs in one visit at €150.
- Access. No lift on a high floor, a narrow stairwell, or awkward parking outside the building can add a logistics surcharge — we say so when we agree the job, not on the day.
- Wall-fixing. When the manufacturer requires anchoring tall furniture (wardrobes, shelving), that's part of the job, but the wall type — concrete, brick, drywall — behaves very differently and can affect how long it takes.
- A second master. For a large scope — assembling a kitchen and wardrobes in another room on the same visit, say — a second master may be needed, and that shows up in the quote in advance, not on arrival.
A worked example
An IKEA PAX wardrobe on the fourth floor with no lift: the wardrobe itself is €180–380 depending on size and interior fittings, with wall-fixing included as a required step, not a separate line. We discuss the stairs-with-no-lift factor in advance, and if it genuinely adds significant time, it shows up as its own line in the quote — before the visit, not as a conversation on the doorstep. If you also want a bookshelf hung in another room on the same visit, that's already "a second small task" — an extra €15 or so, not a second full-price callout.
How to get an exact quote
Send a photo, a receipt, or just the item's product code — from the code we can often give a price without a visit. A clearer photo (can you see the whole unit, is a corner blocked by other furniture?) and a fuller description (floor, lift, number of items) both mean a more accurate number first time. We usually reply within 1–3 hours during working hours. If you have a few small tasks piled up — hang this, tighten that, assemble the other — check out the home handyman page: bundling them into one visit is almost always cheaper than calling us out for each one separately.
Frequently asked questions about price
How much does it cost to assemble a wardrobe / dresser / bed?
Guide prices per item: dresser €80–150, bed €100–220, PAX wardrobe €180–380, table €80–150, KALLAX shelving €100–150, chair €12–18. More precisely — from a photo of the boxes or a link to the product. Minimum order — €80.
How long does assembly take?
A dresser or table — 1–2 hours, a bed — about 2 hours, a two-section wardrobe — 3–5 hours. We confirm the timing together with the price.
Do I need to unpack the furniture in advance?
No. We lay the packaging cardboard on the floor and assemble on it — that way neither the floor nor the furniture gets damaged.
Do you anchor furniture to the wall?
Yes, we anchor tall wardrobes and shelving units — the manufacturer requires it, and it is safer if there are children at home. We choose the fasteners for your wall type.
